Jud Logan is the head menís and womenís track and field coach. He a four-time Olympian who been an assistant coach at Ashland for the past 11 years.

As AUís throws coach, he developed some of the top athletes in the country. During his time as an assistant coach, AU throwers claimed 22 NCAA Division II national championships.

Logan was part of United States Olympic teams in 1984, 1988, 1992 and 2000. He was a captain on the 1992 team. Logan has also competed in the Pan-American Games, the Goodwill Games and the World Championships. He held the American record of 268 feet, eight inches in the hammer throw. Throughout his career, which included five Olympic Trials and nine national trials, he never finished outside the top three finishers.
